Flaxseed oil is an excellent source of essential fatty acids. It is one of the richest sources of Omega 3 fatty acids, but also contains Omega 6 and Omega 9 fatty acids which can be used to support heart health, eye health, hormonal balance and mental function as well as nourishing hair, nails and skin. Flaxseed is one of the richest plant sources of fatty acid; alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). ALA has greater bioavailability in flaxseed oil than in milled flaxseed.
